Meet Mercy Watson, the latest character from Kate DiCamillo. Booklist says, " an early chapter-book series. The tale stars Mercy, a pig with personality a-plenty—and a penchant for 'hot toast with a great deal of butter on it.' " If you have read one of these books, please tell us what you think of it in the comments section.

I loved Because of Winn-Dixie, but I didn't like the Tale of Despereaux because I didn't like the characters or the plot.

Hey, Cassidy, thanks for your comment. I think Because of Winn-Dixie is good, too.

I loved Because of Winn-Dixie and I liked the Tale of Despereaux but, I thought that the plot could've been a little different then what it was.

I think that The Tale of Despereaux was a very good book. It's a book that can be read by all ages. You can't say that about every book. The characters and the storyline were both very interesting and likable. I think you should give this one a try.
